Senior Procurement Specialist required by my NHS client in London.
The successful Senior Procurement Specialist will lead the delivery of complex procurements on behalf of broad and diverse stakeholders with conflicting priorities and highly challenged health economies. This will include providing advice to CCGs and other bodies and working with multiple stakeholders to design, develop and award effective procurements and contracting arrangements.
In order to be successful the Senior Procurement Specialist will need to be able to demonstrate the following experience:
- Experience of the NHS commissioning system and the direction of travel to meet the demands of the Five Year Forward View
- Direct experience of commissioning support and the emerging market for these services
- Significant experience of managing a wide range of procurements in a public sector environment
- Proven leadership and people management experience including managing project teams at a senior level
CIPS level 6 qualification would be desirable but is not essential.
