Job Description for IT Project Manager
Responsible for Cards IT Team, supporting change initiatives in the Card Issuing (Credit & Debit) and the ATM & Self Service Businesses for ROI & UK. This includes the delivery of reliable, resilient, and innovative solutions for retail and business customers across all banking channels. Cards IT is responsible for a critical part of the banks customer proposition and operates in an evolving market that is increasingly competitive and technology-driven.
JobSpecific Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Management
- Project Reporting and Governance
- IT Project Team Management
- Planning and managing the delivery of the end-to-end IT solution (including vendors' and partners' deliverables)
- IT cost management, resource forecasting, tracking and reporting
- Manage vendors' and IT partners' deliverables against agreed plans
- IT project status reporting
- IT risk & issue management
- Change request management
- IT benefits tracking
- Co-ordination of other service providers and support function staff eg IT Service & Operations, IT Platform Architecture, IT Demand & Portfolio Management and Information Security, as required throughout the project
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven success in delivering medium to large scale complex IT projects within budget and specified timeframes, while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Quality focused with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, with a drive and commitment towards project delivery
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to perform project tasks effectively, while managing time and priorities
- Confident with preparing presentations, proposing solutions and driving decisions
- Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments
- Self motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative
- Strong knowledge of software development cycle
- Experience of engagement with and management of 3rd parties and Managed-service providers
