An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Communications Specialist/Editor to work within Central Government on a contract basis. This position is based in Bristol, intitially until April 2017 offering up to £166 per day Ltd.

Main Duties:

Edit content provided by client, ensuring that the content is clear, in plain English and consistent with our style

Project manage the production of communication materials, working closely with colleagues to obtain comments, ensuring relevant sign off at all stages of production

Work closely with our suppliers and other commercial partners as required to ensure deadlines are met

Plan, manage and coordinate content for communication materials as required

Compile analytics to support evaluation of campaigns Provide general administrative support on work within campaigns.

The primary function of this role will be online and offline editorial work in accordance with our communications plan.

One key task will require the project management and editorial work for the monthly Rod Licence Campaign newsletters in addition to completing digital metrics for it.

There will be some wider communications work supporting the Delivery Team required.

There may be minimal travel required on an ad hoc basis to attend meetings, however this is not an essential requirement.
Essential Experience:

Experience of project management, working with clients to ensure deadlines are met.

You will be an experienced editor, who is confident in providing engaging content across digital and non-digital channels.

You will possess strong proofreading, copy-editing and email marketing skills.

Experience of supplier management and managing a multi-channel campaign would be an advantage.

You'll be a well organised, self-motivated editor, with strong attention to detail and able to work to tight deadlines.

Editorial experience.

Able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills.
