Windows Desktop Engineer/SCCM/PowerShell
For one of our global oriented financial clients we are looking for a Windows Desktop Engineer. The Windows Engineer focuses on acting as advisor or specialist for setting up, managing and improving their current Windows 7 and future Windows 10 environment. The Engineer Workstation also focus on the independent design and administration of the current and future environments. As Windows Engineer you will perform work duties for the full scope of the Workstation specialism, in which the issues/projects/service provision are more complex and/or politically sensitive and/or multi-disciplinary in nature.
Technical skills/experience required
- In-depth technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office products, and awareness of their roadmap.
- Software and Hardware Troubleshooting in general
- Good knowledge of automation technology, PowerShell in particular
- Good knowledge of managing an (desktop) user environment and security settings; using GPO's, UE-V, Work Folders and/or Offline files in particular.
- Experience of working in third line IT support
- Experience of supporting a desktop rollout in a Global environment
- SCCM 2012/CB knowledge desirable
- Ability to deal with customers, colleagues and other technical staff in a courteous and friendly manner and as a true team worker;
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and Prince2 desirable.
- Good communication skills: Ability to write well-structured technical documents and to deliver effective oral presentations.
