My client, a leading custodian bank, is looking for an Oversight Tax Analyst with significant onshore and offshore experience to join their Investment Management function on a rolling contract. The successful candidate will be supporting client relationship managers and the investment function so strong stakeholder and communication skills are critical. The role will need provide a communication layer between offshore team and clients

Specific Duties:

  • Provide Subject Matter expertise for all Income Withholding Tax related questions and queries.
  • Review Market and Internal Tax documentation and data to ensure internal Tax Tables are up to date, amending as required to ensure this is the case (where possible).
  • Track progress with Tax Table Review and Re-structuring across multiple clients.
  • Work with off-shore teams to ensure all required detail and data is being received in a timely manner.
  • Act as a Tax related escalation point across all EMEA clients.
  • Review existing Tax related process and identify where improvements might be introduced.
  • Assist in the transition of work to the off-shore locations.
  • Ensure all relevant Income Oversight procedures are reviewed and maintained on at least an annual basis.
  • Proactively manage offshore query resolutions within IMT/IQM environment to ensure responses are sent in an accurate and timely manner to clients.
  • Communicate effectively on issues/problems to the Client and to senior management and ensure a proper and timely follow-up to ensure resolution.
  • Participate and contribute to Client meetings and ensure attendance where necessary in Client Service organized Client meetings.

Specific Qualifications/Skills:

  • Extensive Income and Tax experience
  • Asset management experience, including investment operations.
  • Broad and in-depth understanding of the asset management industry, gained through working in a variety of asset management disciplines.
  • Broad and in-depth understanding of standards, methodologies, processes, systems and technology necessary to support investment management operations.
  • Experience of writing and reviewing business specifications, projects and data mapping.
  • RKS, OSA, MYSS, MCH knowledge useful
  • Good team working skills.
  • Strong writing, communication and presentation skills to audiences of different sizes and levels of seniority.
  • Must be self motivated, adaptable and show initiative in different circumstances and under pressure.
  • Able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels
