Description

Working in the International Non-Theatrical department dealing with all international territories outside of North America. Providing sales reporting and data analysis. Attending to Filmbankmedia, MPLC and other international Licensees and WB offices. Including:

  • Supervising international Licensees' sales reporting, materials ordering and invoicing
  • Requesting, compiling, analysing and commenting quarterly reports on sales revenue
  • Clearing titles for release in all international territories for Non-Theatrical markets
  • Monitoring and making recommendations on clearance windows
  • Ordering files/masters in all languages available in time for the title clearances and taking responsibility for cost assessments on a title by title basis.
  • Primary point of contact for Filmbankmedia. Coordinating Filmbankmedia requests to Warner and managing Warner's response on day to day business issues.
  • Servicing and coordinating in cooperation with Line Manager all items related to MPLC's operations and sales activities and reporting.
  • Primary contact for all international NT Licensees and referring to NT affairs for selected local offices.
  • Dealing with single screening and other enquiries as and when required.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Service and monitor Filmbankmedia's, Local Offices' and international Licensees' sales & costs reporting referring to Non-Theatrical business.
  • Responsible for the day to day relationship with Filmbankmedia and to be their main contact point on business issues including materials, rights, new territories, junking and sales issues. Manage Warner's response to their inquiries. Check Filmbankmedia management and royalty reports. Monitor their business and support Filmbankmedia to maximise Warner revenues.
  • Service and coordinate WB's business with MPLC. Monitor MPLC's operations particularly in territories not contracted locally. Prepare monthly Available Title Lists. Request, monitor and analyze quarterly reports. Prepare data to support Line Manager when business decisions in case of conflicts between Filmbankmedia and MPLC projects need to be taken. Support Line Manager referring to MPLC legal affairs.
  • Service and support NT sales activities at local offices.
  • Monitor NT Licensees Contenidos Audiovisuales (Spain), Digsen (Czech Republic), NOS Audiovisuais (Portugal), The Eight Note (Israel), Continental Film (Slovakia), ECByte (Taiwan), Shooting Stars (United Arab Emirates), Roadshow (Australia & New Zealand), and support their business by providing information on content, markets, rights and materials upon request. Actively manage the relation by having regular calls and requesting updates of the status of NT business.
  • Request, compile and report on the sales statements from each territory on a quarterly and ad hoc basis, including estimating revenues on selected market sectors and/or individual films. Prepare quarterly reports and presentations for Line Manager and Senior Management in Burbank.
  • Request, compile and report on the sales statements from Theatrical Licensee, Park Circus, on a monthly basis.
  • Provide Ad-hoc Non-Theatrical reporting, analysis and project management as required
  • Clear releases for all international territories and markets, including Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, Middle East for Hotels, General Non-theatrical and Maritime.
  • Research and make entities aware of new titles (including local language productions, local acquisitions and New Line titles) available for NT. Ensure all holdbacks, info on censored versions and languages availabilities are communicated to all licensees. Monitor and make recommendations on clearance windows, taking into account Theatrical and Home Video release dates. Produce monthly film Clearances on upcoming titles for licensees to exploit and a list of required and available masters and distribute to local offices and Licensees.
  • Produce Ad/Pub sheets for upcoming titles, including synopsis of films and release information. Request the encoding of trailers for upcoming titles.
  • Create and maintain relationships with Burbank and London TechOps departments and to appointed labs to order NT materials (HD files, stl files, 3D). Ensure materials' cost effectiveness. Be proactive in ordering the materials needed for distribution; tracking and ensuring their timely delivery. Monitor different censored versions.
  • Raise Purchase Orders in SAP and take care of invoices for payment for all Non-Theatrical materials (digital encodes, DVDs, etc). Monitor total costs, including cross charging where applicable.
  • Implement cost effective and secure procedures to deliver digital files or other formats suitable for this technology.
  • Handle single screening and other enquiries (both internal and external) as and when required and refer requestors to the most suitable business unit. Including all enquiries received in the department's Generic Inbox (Outlook).
  • Check film rights, as and when required.
  • Research and develop system to optimize filing and recording of data relevant for daily business and strategic development and decisions.
  • Create project plans as and when required, in particular in relation to the departmental business plan and strategy project.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of digital technology on Non-Theatrical markets (including hand held players, downloading etc).
  • Monitor and record Technical Due Diligences requesting approval for new systems. Ensure technical standards are maintained and keep abreast of the new technologies for Non-theatrical markets.
  • Handle autonomous or in teamwork key departmental projects if and as requested by Line Manager.
  • Contribute towards the international, multi market sector business plan, revenue targets and assisting with the long term strategy for International Non-theatrical.

Skills:.

  • Must be able to build and maintain relationships with new and existing internal and external suppliers and licensees.
  • Ideally should have some understanding of technical aspects of film, video and digital materials and a flair for films.
  • Must have good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Should be familiar with theatrical and non-theatrical studio business and the WB line-up.
  • Experience of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and SAP is essential. Knowledge of Access and FileMaker is preferable.
