Systems Architecture Design Engineer - Network Design, Qualification & Acceptance
A Systems Architecture Design Engineer with is required to work on a six month contract (WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION) for our Defence client based in Surrey
This is an opportunity to work with today's biggest Naval Program.
Overview of the Systems Architecture Design Engineer
As a Senior Engineer - Systems Architecture, you will a member of a team of Engineers defining high end processing and networking solutions which will contribute to an affordable, COTS based combat system which will be in service with the UK submarine flotilla.
Ensure that deliverable Architecture Technical Requirements are fully defined and that an appropriate detailed design is implemented, tested and delivered and maintained for platforms Identifying, bidding, and implementing the delivery of technology management to customers
Working closely with the Common Infrastructure Product Team to ensure that the architecture as defined is documented, tested and delivered to support applicable platform programmes Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the strategy of combat systems is achieved and maintained Ensuring that the highly successful on-going innovative evolution of the Common Combat System is maintained and applied across all submarine platform classes Evolving the core Combat Systems architecture design as appropriate for future technology and capability upgrades
Key skills required for the Systems Architecture Design Engineer
Experience of requirements management, as well as qualification and acceptance Experience of the systems engineering life cycle Understanding of IT (Servers, networks, etc)
High end processing and network design Networks & interfaces design Defence industry experience
The role is based in Surrey - commutable from Aldershot, Farnborough, Wokingham, Bracknell, Chertsey, Weybridge, Woking, Guildford, Farnham, Winchester, Basingstoke and Reading with excellent access from Hampshire and Berkshire
