Description

Quanta are looking to speak with Electrical Engineers with a Design bias for Wind projects. Due to our established relationships within the Wind industry Quanta are looking to secure candidates of interest to satisfy upcoming demand in personnel.

These roles are across the electrical package and include Substation and Cable specialists.

Locations: UK, Denmark & Germany
Duration: ongoing 2017
Rate: DOE
Duties:

  • Work as part of a client facing Electrical Engineering team focusing on the design of HV/EHV electrical infrastructure (substation &/Or Cables) for wind energy projects.
  • Design HV/EHV substation and cable solutions for either onshore or offshore wind projects.
  • Interface with both internal and external stakeholders ensuring client requirements are understood and interpreted to deliver an effective solution.
  • Participate from initial ITT interpretation and submission throughout initial concept design, detailed design and installation support.
  • Produce relevant reports both technical and status reports and attending update meetings with client and stakeholders.
Essential Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.
  • Typically more than 3 years post University experience.
  • Can demonstrate experience in the delivery of technical projects related to HV electrical projects either cable or substation.
  • Ensure Design Compliance to Legislative, HSE and Client requirements.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative as well as with external stakeholders. Therefore strong interpersonal and communication skills are important.
  • Delivery focussed - ability to interpret requirements and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to use relevant industry software packages.
