The client a market leading Law firm based in the City of London are looking for a Desktop Engineer/
Executive Support Engineer who can work as a stand alone Desktop Engineer providing a high quality 2nd Line Desktop Support Service through to their user base including their VIP's and Executives.
This is a stand alone Desktop Support Engineer position supporting 40+ Business users/you will be the only support person on site/this is a "Desktop Support client facing position"
The post holder must have an enthusiastic and professional personality and be able to demonstrate previous experience supporting VIP's and Executives and have a strong level of technical knowledge/experience supporting the following technologies:
- MS Windows O/S's 7/8
- MS Windows Server
- MS Office 2010
- Active Directory
- Administration of Email Systems - ie MS Exchange, Outlook
- Hardware setup (laptops, desktops, IPads, tablets, Blackberries, IPhones, Androids).
- (Ideally) Experience of working within a professional services organisation - ie legal, financial, insurance etc.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word as well as MS-Outlook and MS-Skype for Business. (Windows 7/10).
Daily Responsibilities:
- Providing high level technical support via Service Now (SNOW) to VIP's and Executives via Telephone or Remotely & Face to Face
- Troubleshooting hardware and software faults.
- Administering network rights and permissions.
- Install, set up and administer PC's in a network environment as well as providing general network support and administration.
- Assistance working on ad-hoc projects where required (ie moves and changes)
