Description
Mechanical Design Engineer (Pro Engineer Creo) with experience of Electro Mechanical packaging. Required for initial six month contract in Hertfordshire
The task will involve being part of a mechanical design team responsible for all of the mechanical design aspects of a new Seeker being currently developed. Skills and Knowledge: Experienced electro-mechanical packaging designer Requirement.
Must have the following attributes:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision directly with electronics team to design housings.
- Pro-active individual who takes responsibility for progress across all aspects design, make and prove cycle.
- A mixture of concept and detailed design experience.
- Experience of producing trials plans and test procedures as well as the physical product definition.
- Time spent in the military aerospace and defence sector.
- Experience of packaging for conventional PCB and preferably RF high frequency cards.
- Good working knowledge of the mechanical aspects of cables, connectors and flexi circuit design.
- Strong appreciation of designing for structural loads, thermal management and EMI.
- Current security clearance highly preferable.
- Competent Pro-Engineer CAD user.
