Off Aircraft Integrator

An Off Aircraft Integrator with Integration experience is required to work on a six month contract (WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION) for our Defence client based in Lancashire

This is an opportunity for an Engineer with a broad skill set to join the growing Off Aircraft Integration Team within Support Products.

The role is within a key growth area as Support Products enacts change to meet the future challenges of our Customers. The team is multi-customer focussed, generating off aircraft support capability for all NETMA and Export customers.

Overview of the Off Aircraft Integrator contract role

As an Off Aircraft Integration Engineer, you will understand the off aircraft support products and the Customer's needs to help deliver a holistic support capability. The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering integration across the relevant support disciplines to ensure aircraft equipment support capabilities are produced and delivered in-line with Customer maintenance policies.

The key elements of the role involve:

  • Capturing the off aircraft requirements for new Customer capability releases and modifications. Decomposing complex problems into component parts for the capability teams
  • Enabling the solution design process in a collaborative manner with the respective teams, and ensuring that the solution is fit for purpose
  • Working with the Maintenance Design and Planning Team and Approved Data Team through the project life cycle
  • Monitoring and managing the engineering, integration, production, qualification, and verification activities for the off aircraft capability packages
  • Maintaining and providing overall estimate and plans covering all technical aspects of off aircraft capability projects
  • Providing effective technical and business communication to the leadership and to the Project Engineers including reporting technical status of projects to the Engineering Team and ensuring that all Engineers working on the project understand their deliverables
  • Coordinating change and new business within the Off Aircraft Product Team, creating robust impact assessments and coordinating estimates to ensure realistic delivery programmes are agreed
  • Acting as a point of contact for query answering within the Off Aircraft Integration Team; managing queries and responses. Diagnose complex technical problems to their root cause and summarise prognosis and impact to Off Aircraft Lead

As a Support Integration Engineer within the Off Aircraft Team your key skills and qualifications should include:

  • Ability to understand, explain and present complex cross organisation and supplier integration requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in a competent manner.
  • Able to demonstrate a broad understanding of Support Engineering, knowledge of commercial issues, and technical concerns whilst maintaining depth in core focus area.

The role is based in Lancashire - commutable from Preston, Blackpool, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool, Lancaster and Leeds
