Fibre Planner/Designer - FTTX
A Fibre Planner/Designer with a strong passive optical network experience is required by our telecommunications client. The Fibre Planner/Designer will be required to design civils and fibre-optic infrastructure to agreed methodologies which are cost effective and fit for purpose so that both internal and external customer's requirements can be consistently met in a timely manner.
The Fibre Planner/Designer responsibilities will include:
- Design civils and fibre optic infrastructure which are cost effective; fit for purpose and future proof
- Produce detailed documentation of designs
- Develop and implement network design topologies
- Drive consistency, qualify suitability and cost effectiveness
- Detailed knowledge of civil route planning
- Knowledge and understanding of local and national authority regulations with regards to civil engineering works
- Produce detailed survey reports; installation and as-build documentation
- Knowledge and understanding of lit fibre services
