Mission Planning Systems Engineer - Systems Design and Lifecycle Management
A Systems Engineer with Systems Design and Lifecycle Management experience is required to work on a twelve month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Preston.
This is a 12 month contract with a leading UK Defence Business.
Overview of the Mission Planning Systems Engineer contract role
Systems Design Engineer within the Air Support Service, to support the Mission Planning Delivery Group Lead in the development and delivery of Mission Planner capabilities for the project Customers. The role will be based in Warton and will assist in the Mission Planning Systems Design Engineering development through to entry into service activities for the Mission Support Solution.
The role will involve assisting the Mission Planning Group Leader in the following activities:
- Maintenance of Mission Planning System Design Document;
- Maintenance of Supplier Product Specifications;
- Maintenance of the Mission Planning Project Engineering documentation (Engineering Management Plan);
- Maintenance Engineering Packs in support of project Engineering life cycle Management (ELCM) reviews;
- Maintenance the Bill of Materials for the Mission Planning product;
- Support the Configuration Control activities of the Mission Planning product;
- Support testing of the Supplier Mission Planning Product in support of Qualification evidence;
- Support the integration of Mission Planning solution with the rigs and aircraft;
- Support activities associated with entry into service of the Mission Planning capability;
The role is based in Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds
