Senior Communications Officer - Events/Internal/Briefings/Intranet
We have an exciting contracting opportunity for an experienced communication officer with events experience with our public-sector client based in Edinburgh for 5-6 months.
You will be expected to have extensive communications and events experience ideally gained within the public sector.
Essential skills -
- Provide ongoing advice and comms support to an organisation-wide programme
- Design, deliver and evaluate corporate and staff events
- Provide advice, content and comms support to the Executive Team on an ongoing basis.
- Event management for a range of internal audiences
- Manage content and effectiveness of a range of internal and external corporate channels ranging from leadership briefing notes
- Plan, draft and editing News content for staff Intranet
- Handle media enquiries, FOIs and proactive publications
- Handle high profile and sensitive communications issues impacting on reputation (internally and externally)
- Developing and implement effective communications strategies and plans
Candidates will be required to either hold a valid basic Disclosure Scotland or be willing and able to apply prior to submission to the client.
