JOB TITLE: Manager, Independence Applications (Blended PM/BA role)

CONTRACT: Dec. 5 through the end of March 2017

LOCATION: Montvale, NJ

DEPARTMENT: Risk Management Applications

SCHEDULE: Full time, M-F

ABOUT THE TEAM:

Risk Management Applications (RMA), a team of approximately 25 employees, implements and manages all aspects of KPMG's proprietary Risk Management and Independence systems and processes to help the firm comply with risk management policies and regulatory requirements.

The Independence Applications team works closely with functional risk management, Independence leadership, US leadership, and other operational/functional groups to understand and prioritize business process improvement opportunities to ensure proper controls are in place to mitigate risks that can potentially be managed through applications and systems. We work with KPMG's Global & US IT teams, as well as outside vendors, to ensure quality implementation of changes, execution of change management strategies (ie communications, training and documentation) and closely monitor any development projects or initiatives to ensure proper adoption and usage.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Direct responsibility for overall management of assigned projects and stakeholder management.
  • Build and maintain a project execution plan/charter, including the approach, scope, tasks, durations, work effort, dependencies, budget, planning assumptions, risk profile, team structuring, staffing, resource allocation, and deliverable definitions.
  • Work with business process owners, technology members and third-party vendors to identify and document business requirements and processes that contribute to the implementation of the technology solution.
  • Communicate requirements to technical teams and manage changes/clarifications to the requirements.
  • Work with the Independence Lead to prioritize work and meet milestones and complete deliverables on time.
  • Prepare documentation, presentations, charts, tables and diagrams and conduct reviews for scope, business justification and business requirements including use cases, design documents, prototypes and business rules.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

  • 6+ years Project Management experience.
  • 4+ years BA work that is quantitative and analytical.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with various levels of management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
