Description
Quanta are looking to speak with Structural Engineers for upcoming Offshore Wind projects. Due to our established relationships within the Wind industry Quanta are looking to secure candidates of interest to satisfy upcoming demand in personnel from both Operators/Developers and Consultancy/Engineering houses. These requirements are across structural design work across WTG Foundations and Topsides and Jackets for the OSP.
Duration: ongoing 2017
Duties:
- Work as part of a client facing team focusing on the structural design of either WTG foundations or OSS Jacket/Topside for wind energy projects.
- Interface with both internal and external stakeholders ensuring client requirements are understood and successfully interpreted to deliver an effective solution.
- Participate from initial ITT interpretation and submission throughout initial concept design, FEED and detailed design. Including technical troubleshooting when required.
- Produce relevant reports both technical and status reports and also attend update meetings with clients and other stakeholders.
- Degree qualified in Structural/Civil Engineering.
- Typically more than 3 years post University experience.
- Can demonstrate experience in the delivery of offshore engineering solutions.
- Ensure Design Compliance to Legislative, HSE and Client requirements.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative as well as with external stakeholders. Therefore strong interpersonal and communication skills are important.
- Delivery focussed - ability to interpret requirements and deliver high quality work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to use relevant industry software packages. Software packages used varies by client.
- Offshore Renewable Energy project experience.
- Experience working on projects in both UK and EU waters.
