SAP Release Manager (BO/BW) - English Speaking. Lisbon, Portugal. Start: 16th January Month Contract
Our client based in Lisbon, Portugal is looking for an SAP Release Manager who is specifically experienced with the SAP ECC/BW/BO framework and transport management.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the end to end release process including the delivery of Release Notes
- In close coordination with the Service Managers (for maintenance scope) and Project Managers (for project scope), plan releases (calendars, content, frozen periods)
- Define standards and work practices related to the release, test and configuration management (traceability, versions consistency and production deliveries)
- Define & execute emergency processes for deliveries into production with a high level of priority
- Organize functional reviews and approvals of each releases content
- Guarantee the updates and maintenance of release management documentation
- Inform the Service Managers of risks and issues that may impact the release schedule or quality, and provide management reports on release progress
- Comply with the internal financial controls ensuring the quality of the delivery
- Plan and manage operational maintenance activities for different applications in scope and all the landscape environments
- Evaluate dependencies between ongoing and planned changes in terms of timing and scope.
- Engage and share information between all relevant stakeholders
Required Skills and Experience:
- MUST HAVE SAP Release Management experience
- MUST HAVE an understanding of SAP ECC/BW/BO framework and transport management (minimum 5 years)
- Reporting: ability to prepare a Management presentation for the scope of activity
- Ability to coordinate teams, lead meetings, assign and follow tasks to be performed
- Experience in complex cross-system environments
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to take the ownership of problems and issues and manage to resolution
- Ability to work effectively with different countries and nationalities
Nice to have:
- Project management skills
- Testing ability: to set-up Testing practices and identify improvement actions
Languages:
- Must have a minimum of B1 level English
