Electrical/Electronic Engineer - CREO2
An Electrical/Electronic Engineer with CREO2 and Design experience is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our defence client based in Cumbria.
This is a 6 month contract working with a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the Electrical/Electronic Engineer contract role
A vacancy has arisen for an professional Electrical/Electronics engineer with Electrical CAD skills to work within the Weapons design team on projects through all stages has arisen from the initial concept through the design and development stage to the testing of one or more prototypes and through to final manufacture and implementation of a new product or system.
Key skills required for the Electrical/Electronic Engineer
- Creating and reviewing specifications for sub-systems.
- Working with colleagues to design digital & analogue electronics systems, including enclosures, internal wiring harnesses and cabling systems.
- Creating electrical schematics and electrical cabling drawings.
- Creating electrical enclosure designs using Pro/ENGINEER (CREO2).
- Generation and review of technical reports and documentation.
- Some software experience would be desirable but not essential.
The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District.
