Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced In Service Engineer to work within Central Government on a contract basis. This position is based in Waddington, initially until June 2017 offering up to £311 per day Ltd.

Main Duties:

The Elec/Av Spt is principally responsible to the Sentry Elec/Av Manager 1 for the management of Type Airworthiness Authority activity for the Elec/Av aspects of the Sentry aircraft, in accordance with published MAA and DE&S policy, guidance and procedures.

Supporting the management of the Airworthiness, Safety, Environmental and Security of the Sentry aircraft Elec/Av systems in accordance with published MAA and DE&S policy, guidance and procedures, comply with the Quality Management principles set by the Quality Management enabling capability and the Air ISTAR PT Quality Management System (QMS).

Responsible for supporting TAA activity iaw RA 1015, specifically including the following:
Compiling certification evidence to support military type certification/Release to Service Recommendations/Release to Service.
Reviewing the completeness and accuracy of the Approved Data, including the aircraft document set.
Recommending that appropriate action is taken in response to airworthiness issues.
Investigating and analysing reports of, and information related to, failures, malfunctions, defects or other occurrences to provide evidence that the Type Design remains airworthy.
Informing the TAA, and Sentry Air Vehicle EA, of the outcome of any investigation into a significant airworthiness occurrence within your functional scope of responsibility.
Supporting the Air Vehicle Integrity through-life including regular review of the actual usage and in-service experience against the design assumptions.
Facilitating the preparation of modifications to systems through the Local Technical Committee (LTC) and Configuration Control Board (CCB), as necessitated by in-service experience or as requested by the DHs for safety, operational or economic reasons.
Contributing to, and operating within, the Air ISTAR PT Safety Management System and supporting all safety activities, safety arguments and hazard reviews.

Responsible for supporting the development, issue and closure SI(T)s, facilitating F760 investigations, F765 and F765X Unsatisfactory Feature Reports, airworthiness investigations into Air Incidents or DASORs.
