Your New role:-
Our client's AandA EMEA RBC (Regional Business) - Customer Engineering - Cloud Solutions and Platforms Regional Competence Center organization has an opportunity for an experienced Solution Architect. As CSandP Solution Architect, you are a highly skilled professional who designs NFV/SDN cloud solutions to fit our customers needs. As Solution Architect you act as a trusted advisor partnering with the customer on its strategy positioning and end-user understanding thanks to end-to-end architecture on multiple domains. You understand and capture the critical inputs of stakeholders, and translates them into effective requirements and solutions. You specify and design effective end-to-end solutions, through the high as well as low level design of architecture, to meet customer needs in a market positioning perspective. You apply solution architecture standards processes and principles, to create and maintain a solutions integrity over time, including verification that the solution meets the clients requirements. You develop the full scope of the solution, working across organizations to achieve workable solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- You understand, capture and challenge inputs from market analysis, key customers decision makers, technical and operations staff.
- You obtain details of the customers current environment and the Present Mode of Operation.
- You understand the end-users current and future expectations and needs. You analyse those inputs, together with perceived market expectations, and translate them into a set of consistent requirements providing a variety of cross-domains solutions that meet customer needs (business, operational, functional and regulatory) in the most effective way.
- You participate as an expert during the tender process to support the building and writing of proposals.
- You apply solution architecture methodology, best practices, state of the art knowledge on network and operations, processes and principles to create value for the customer in an innovative way.
- You identify architectural alternatives and optimize the trade-offs between factors such as lead time, cost and quality throughout the design activity.
- You take overall responsibility for the design of all aspects of the solution, working across organizations to achieve workable end-to-end solutions including NOKIA and third party sub-systems (products and services). To achieve this, you may lead a team of architects from various organizations.
- You ensure cross-domains solution feasibility from technical, business value migration, integration, operation and maintenance perspective.
- You ensure that the solution meets the market and customers implicit, explicit and dynamic requirements and that scope adjustments are subject to carefully considered change control procedures.
- You maintain the integrity and the consistency of the solution over the whole project cycle.
- You identify problems and risks early explicitly highlight obstacles and propose actions to address them.
- You continuously innovate so that products, processes, and services better serve customers needs.
- You define the roadmap for generic and customer solutions.
- You identify opportunities of upscopes.
Your Skills and experience:-
Essential Skills:-
- Expertise in NFV, SDN and Cloud concepts linked with virtualization practical experience is needed
- Expertise Openstack is a must
- Expertise in HEAT/HOT, Ansible, Mistral concepts is key
- Expertise in CBIS, CBAM, CBND, Nuage is a plus
- You have gained extended (practical) knowledge of IP architectures and network models (MPLS, Routers,), IP/MPLS access, aggregation and edge, IP/MPLS/DWDM converged core
- You are personally committed to quality
- You love working in a customer facing environment
- You operate autonomously and are result driven
- You take ownership and accountability
- You are flexible in taking up different roles and tackling multiple technologies
- You have strong negotiation and communication skills
- You are capable of showing technical and organizational leadership
Specific additional information:
- You have a Telecommunications/Electronics/SW/Computer master degree or equivalent through experience
- Certification as Solution Architect is a plus
- You have multiple years of experience in designing e2e telecom solutions
