Global Mobile Payments Consultant: Petrol Stations: Global oil and Gas Co.
World Leading Global Energy Oil Company has an exciting opportunity for a Global Mobile Payments Consultant: Petrol Stations to introduce a new payments technology and enable customers to pay for fuel using their Mobile Device.
About the Role:
- Working with different Local and Global markets (including NL, Germany and eventually China and the US)
- Analyse how mobile payment technologies work in these different markets each country and then passing on this advice
- Analyse the mobile payment user experience, research what works well/not so well and identify any problems in using the app
- Giving general advice based on learnings done elsewhere and look at replicating from older markets into the newer markets
- Coach the market and develop a solution to implement the app into the new markets
- The person will plan the projects, dependencies and risks (but will not be a PM)
- Identify any restrictions for the use of the app
- Identify health and safety requirements for using mobile phones on the forecourt at petrol stations
- Build up a mobile payment community internally at the company eg monthly engagements, Q&As, using Yammer/other social media
- The team try to work virtually from Waterloo but if there is a need to travel abroad then there may be 2-4 trips a year
About You:
- 2-3 years+ experience within the Mobile Payments industry
- Willingness to learn a new groundbreaking technology within the retail side of Oil and Gas
- Must be someone who can understand different cultural markets
- Must be able to pick up different processes based on varying markets and quickly adapt - how they use their mobile phones, type of wallet and payment systems (eg apple pay)
- Awareness to the customers' needs in the different global markets and listening to user feedback
- Excellent ability to understand Mobile Payment processes and communicate them
- Internal stakeholder management experience is essential
- Loyalty payments experience would be ideal.
