NES Global Talent's noteworthy client in Manchester is seeking a Deputy Head of Communications for a 12 month contract. The role will be to start ASAP and will be paid at a Ltd company day rate of £204 per day (Annual Salary equivalent £50k).THE ROLE
This role has overall responsibility for the strategic management and direction of Communications, communicating clearly the vision, corporate values, aims and objectives supporting key priorities and the business plan. The role holder will provide strategic leadership and motivation to the Communications Centre, ensuring the provision of a high quality, efficient, cost effective and customer focused range of services to customers. The role holder will act as deputy to the Assistant Chief Executive (Communications and Customer).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY'S
- Provide strategic vision and direction for the operation of a responsive and customer focused team as part of the core services that meets statutory and corporate standards, working alongside other services and partners.
- Identify, develop, and direct the implementation of key business strategies that will contribute to the delivery of the business plan, corporate priorities, transformation, efficiencies and/or savings.
- Implement robust and sustainable strategies to drive through continual improvement to the overall performance and standards of the service utilising models of good practice as measured against a range of internal and external performance indicators and targets.
- Have clear performance measures, evaluation and quarterly dashboards to report progress and apply challenging stretch targets.

- Extensive market knowledge of communications with possession of a degree in Marketing and or a Charted Institute of Marketing Diploma or equivalent qualification or extensive experience.
- Relevant and broad communications experience in either the public, private or voluntary sector that demonstrate ability to deliver multiple innovative cross platform communications campaigns with competence and knowledge and proven management experience to lead all strategy and content areas from account handling, digital, advertising/marketing and media to managing budgets and technical requirements and digital specialisms
