Description
Our Public Sector client requires a motivated Communications Officer to join their city centre office on an initial 12 month contract.
This role will provide a key support function for the organisation's communication and engagement strategy ahead of a large programme of work.
Main Duties will include:
. Raising awareness of the programme, sharing knowledge with the wider organisation and project teams
. Support the project team with administration tasks for internal and user facing meetings and events
. Developing and supporting the communications and engagement plan including user registration, training and feedback processes
. Supporting graphic design, media snippets, and branding for the service
Essential Skills
. Previous experience within a communications and engagement role
. Able to analyse complex technical information and translate key messages to varying levels of the organisation
. Experienced in working with multiple stakeholders
. Portfolio of excellent written communication in a range of media
. Experience of maintaining a website and databases
. Social Media skills - particularly with blogs and Twitter
. Skilled in MS Office, desk-top publishing software and web editing software
. Experience within higher education/academia would be desirable
