Mechanical Design Engineer (HVAC Systems)/Contract/Home based
Purpose of the Role:
As a Mechanical Engineer in the, you will be involved with hands-on product development and the design of complex mechanical or electromechanical systems. You will contribute to projects as part of multi-disciplinary team.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Must have a degree in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline.
Must have experience in mechanical design for plastic injection moulding.
Must have broad knowledge HVAC systems (Heating & Cooling)
Excellent knowledge and proficiency in at least one of the leading MCAD packages.
Experienced in design for manufacture and assembly when working with plastic injection moulding.
Knowledge of injection moulding and high volume assembly processes.
Experience with Intellectual Property.
Industrial design experience will be highly advantageous
Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Must have strong interpersonal skills.
Must have a can-do attitude
Must have analytical approach to understanding and solving problems.
Key Results Area:
To design or participate in design of medium complexity plastic components and assemblies.
To develop mechanical design solutions in response to project and business needs.
To produce detailed drawings and manufacturing specifications.
To transfer designs to manufacture through liaison with external suppliers.
To write technical reports and produce high quality design documentation.
To identify improvements and adaptations to existing devices.
To contribute to product and process innovation, generating value through the development of intellectual property.
