Job Title: Studio Manager
Location: Merseyside
Rate: £315 - £355 LTD or 3282 PAYE

A major public sector client of ours is currently looking for a Studio Manager to be responsible for a team of 3.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead and manage the in-house creative team responsible for developing their core social content, campaign materials and publications, working across print, digital, video and audio formats.

* Manage the in-house creative studio ensuring that:
o Clear briefs are agreed with commissioners of creative projects, with tightly defined policy and communications objectives, audience needs and insight,
o Deliverable production schedules are set and delivered against, including where necessary by managing commissioners, partners and suppliers.
o Concepts and treatments are creatively strong and executed to a high
standard to support their objectives

* Foster creativity and innovation in content creation across a range of media, and encourage learning from other content and channels teams. Deliver compelling, engaging and accessible content that is relevant to both the purpose of the communication and the needs of the audience.

* Manage creative projects efficiently and effectively, underpinned by effective policies and procedures.

* Lead the management of their visual identity and branding, enforcing standards, dealing with queries and requests, including regarding use of their material under Crown Copyright and Open Government Licences.

* Work collaboratively with their channels, internal communication, stakeholder engagement and strategic communications, media and campaigns teams to deliver creative content in a range of formats, to tight deadlines and a high standard.

* Evaluate effectiveness of content, analysing audience data and sentiment, ensuring findings are considered in development of future work.

* Manage budgets and contracts associated with the post, ensuring value for money is obtained and work is completed to high standards on time and to cost.

* Lead and motivate your staff, identify their development needs, address them and drive up their professional standards.

QUALIFICATIONS/ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Required:

* Proven experience of successfully managing and leading a creative multi- media studio in a busy, fast-paced environment.

* Exceptional creativity, flair and conceptual thinking.

* Experience in at least three of the following areas, to be demonstrated by portfolio:
o Graphic design/art working
o Illustration
o Photography
o Video production (from concept to final form)
o Audio production (from concept to final form)

* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud applications and Mac OSX.

* Experience and strong understanding of the modern communications landscape including:
o digital communications and marketing - online and social publishing and campaigns
o user research and testing (eg user profiles/personas, identifying customer journeys)
o content strategy and creation (eg animation/GIFs, quotepics, infographics, data visualisation)

* Understanding of insight and analytics and the ability to interpret both data sets to inform creative strategies and content.

* Experience of delivering multiple and competing priorities against tight deadlines in a busy and fast-moving environment.

* Customer/client negotiation and project management, in developing and agreeing briefs, production schedules and pitching creative solutions and treatments.
