Description

Recipes Editor/Content Editor

Contract: 1 year

Telecom Giant is seeking a Recipes Editor, who will be:

  • Responsible for establishing a process for creation and distribution of recipes. Creation will include sourcing recipes, writing, editing and modifying recipes, sourcing images for existing and upcoming recipes, and establishing best practices for sourcing and publishing user-generated recipes. Distribution will include creating and maintaining a calendar of recipes, managing and updating the calendar as needed, and publishing a recurring schedule of recipes via web, email, social and various channels.
  • The right candidate will create a perfect recipe benchmark and standards for recipe descriptions, nutrition information, publishing Q&As with industry leaders and interview subjects, ratings, reviews (critics' and user-generated), hacks, tips, tricks, required tools for preparation, servings and portioning, categorization, uncovering recipes' backstories and history, sourcing images, and more.
  • Recipe Editor will also help establish a video strategy for recipes. This will include deciding which videos should have recipes created, as well as deciding on format and style of videos needed for recipes. Best candidates will be forward-thinking and help determine how videos can be portioned out (eg how to cut or season foods, how to make crucial components of dishes separately, etc.), as well as advise on what can be leveraged from other sources and what can be created in-house.
  • Recipe Editor will be required to review analytical data to determine what recipes are needed in the database to establish priority against resources, review of competitors' strategies, identify key search terms, and discover trends.
  • Expectations will also include establishing a calendar of recipe-focused stories with editors, understanding and advising on calendar impact of recipes, working with merchant and editor staff to integrate content and commerce, working with chefs, restaurants and influencers to secure recipes, and conceiving future recipe-based services.

    • 5 years experience in content, specifically digital and/or print media
