Description

Writing and editing

  • Excellent writing skills - ability to write in simple, succinct, clear and concise language; ability to transform corporate documents filled with jargon and complex financial terms into comprehensible, accessible stories
  • Ability to spot and correct/remove inaccuracies, grammatical errors, awkward syntax, typos, inconsistencies, clichés, jargon etc.
  • Excellent storytelling skills - ability to turn any news article into a compelling narrative
  • Solid experience in news reporting, writing and editing
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in pressured environments
  • Ability to effectively integrate video, photography and infographics into text-based stories. Internal communications
  • Experience of writing for employees is desirable but not critical.Financial knowledge
  • In-depth knowledge of banking, investments and financial services
  • Understanding of economic and regulatory challenges faced by the banking industry
  • Understanding of the global economy and world affairs.
