Group Creative Designer - Swindon

Development/Training opportunity until 3rd November 2017.

About the Group Creative Designer Role:

A vacancy has arisen for an in-house Creative Designer to work within the Group Communications department of Connect Group PLC at Rowan House, Swindon.

This is a small but very busy team, and there is a requirement for a dynamic creative designer to help manage key internal and external brands and supporting communications materials.

As the designer for the Group the role will also involve providing design support for all businesses within the Group, creating professional designs and layouts for promotional, internal and external documents as well as press materials both in print and online. You'll manage multiple projects ensuring deadlines are met and you'll be responsible for the corporate photography repository.

Key responsibilities are:

  • You will be the lead for a number of specialist brands
  • Ability to design for communication through a mix of channels - print, web and email
  • Generate original thinking within brand guidelines, complemented by excellent design and layout skills with an exacting attention to detail
  • Ability to present design visuals to all internal stakeholders and communicate clearly your thought processes in the creation of each campaign
  • A strong understanding of preparation of artwork required for both print and digital outputs
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Photo and Videographer, ensuring all imagery produced is to brief and suitable for use for both print and digital
  • Ability to produce PowerPoint presentations to brief

About you:

  • Recognised degree in Graphic Design or equivalent.
  • Excellent Adobe CC knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Must be proficient in design for both print and digital.
  • An outstanding portfolio, showcasing finished work and proven commercial results or application.
  • Highly creative and passionate with a flair for design and presentation.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic, keen learner.

Desirable:

  • HTML experience.
  • Knowledge of MS Outlook and Office applications.
