My client is a very well known global brand, selling their products to businesses all over the world. With a large marketing and communications team, they have a requirement for a PR and Social Media Co-ordinator to join in a support role, working alongside a senior member of the team. Situated within easy reach of the motorway network, and a short walk from rail links, this is an opportunity with a company who has provided countless employees with long and fulfilling career paths. Whilst this role is initially a 9 month contract, the hope is that it will be made permanent.
The role will see you supporting a range of PR and social content lines such as product launches, case studies, environmental content, press releases and more. The aim of the function is to co-ordinate efforts with their external PR agency who will create the content, which you will then push out to the offices around the world. The offices will then, in turn, work with local publications, journalists, and social channels to promote the content. Your role will be to ensure that this process happens, and to report on the activity of the offices using their dedicated software, amongst other duties and activities.
Proofreading content, and in some cases writing some short copy will be part of the role, though the main emphasis is on organising, chasing, communicating, and reporting on the activity of the external resource and the offices around the world. As such, being highly organised and confident are key, as is the ability to work your way around Microsoft Excel, and to adapt to new software dashboards quickly. A qualification in a PR or Social Media is required, though all necessary training will be provided beyond these requirements.
