UX/UI Designer/Contract/6 months/Ireland
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join a global organisation located in Letterkenny Ireland. This role will be offered as an initial 6 month contract.
The successful candidates must be passionate about developing high quality products following industry best practise.
You will be a team player prepared to learn new skills and share knowledge with colleagues to build a strong cohesive team. This is a great opportunity to work with a real cutting edge technology stack.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 4+ year's software engineering experience in a development capacity preferably using HTML, Angular.
- Deep understanding of Front End development with Angular.JS, a good understanding of Back End development with Java technology is also beneficial.
- Good understanding of human-computer interaction (HCI) element of a design and Human Cognitive behaviour
- Experience working in Test Driven Development environments and have strong experience with Unit Testing.
- Have the mindset that Unit Test code is as important as application code.
- Experience developing within an Agile team and ideally Continuous Integration environment.
- Sound knowledge of and ability to apply standard software development principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
- Demonstrate an understanding of trade-offs and risks with programming choices.
- Ability to coordinate multiple technical streams of work to produce a complete solution.
- Ability to estimate and also lead the estimation process for small initiatives.
- Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team.
