UX Designer, Dublin - 6 Month Contract

My client is an esteemed Global Pharmaceutical company whose history dates back over Two Centuries and have over One Hundred Thousand members of staff and are currently looking to take on a UX Designer to join their well-established company. The ideal candidate will deliver outstanding user experience in a new area of the business. Drives forward the customer experience, usability and sales potential through excellence in user experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design digital products and services that incorporate the needs of the user and meet business goals
  • Lead a project through the full design life cycle, helping to facilitate kick-off meetings and workshops, making initial sketches and concepts, and conducting design testing and research
  • Present design concepts and explain rationale, including articulating the decisions and thought processes that informed the designs
  • Collaborate with other team members
  • Envision a holistic product user experience that supports users in performing tasks, while satisfying business requirements and observing technical constraints
  • Develop user interface standards, conceptualize and champion the importance of User Centered design
  • Manage the user interface design effort, including coordinating the visual design for new/existing products
  • Conduct quality evaluations to ensure the user experience vision, design and standards are being fulfilled by the product and architecture developers
  • Accountable to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within UX Design scope

UX Skillset required:

  • Working experience with Lean UX principles (early user validation, collaboration, problem solving, business value, flexible toolset, nimble design) and methods (writing problem statements, business and user assumptions and developing hypotheses)
  • Research - plan and moderate user research eg usability tests, expert reviews, focus groups, depth interviews & surveys
  • Analysis and synthesis of findings into strategy and recommendations
  • UX design - development of personas, information, architecture, content strategy, experience and empathy maps, customer and user journey maps
  • Interaction design - rapid prototyping, including wireframe and interaction design at a low to medium fidelity, and production of clickable prototypes
  • Eliciting stakeholder feedback and buy-in, for instance by running workshops and interviews
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Skilled in, storytelling, critiquing, facilitating and presenting
  • Deep understanding of best practices
  • Responsive, mobile web and native app design experience
