SC/DV Cleared Content Designer

My Government Client require a Content Designer to review, suggest and implement improvements for content on GOV.UK. This should include both the detail of the content itself and the way that it is structured to maximise the search engine optimisation, including integrating in to a new taxonomy.
The role will be based on site in London 5 days per week.
Essential Skills and Experience:
*Experience of working within an Agile environment
*Demonstrable experience of designing content to meet user needs and making complex language and processes easy to understand in line with style and standards
*Demonstrable experience of auditing and improving online content
*Demonstrable experience of managing and monitoring relationships with and between stakeholders with clear and regular communications, clarifying mutual needs and commitments whilst focusing on user needs
*Demonstrable strategic thinking experience with an overall perspective on business issues, an understanding of their wider implications and long-term impact with a focus on outcomes rather than solutions/activities
*Demonstrable experience of understanding users and understanding their needs, based on evidence, putting users first and can manage competing priorities
Desirable Skills and Experience:
*Familiar with GDS content design principles and existing GOV.UK content
*Good teamplayer
*Familiar with the GOV.UK publisher
*Experience of working with policy specialists and non-technical staff to understand requirements
*Ability to build good relationships and trust with teams both with and without departmental sponsors
*Quickly joining teams and understanding their needs
*Experience working in an agile manner
Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 10 weeks.
