Description

Harvey Nash's public sector client is recruiting for a Senior Media Manager on an initial 6 month contract, with the possibility of a further 17 month extension. You will be responsible for providing media relations, presentation and integrated communications advice, drafting communications products, including news releases, reactive statements, and opinion pieces. The role will also involve producing content for digital channels, including photography and video.

Essential skills:

* Experience of working with media, digital and social media.

* Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise and use initiative.

* Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to engage confidently and effectively with a range of people to deliver communications objectives.

* Experience of managing others to balance workloads and ensure priority tasks are delivered effectively and on time.

* Ability to work in a busy environment, respond to fast-moving situations and give trusted advice to ministers, policy officials and special advisers.
