Communications Director - 6 months - London - Negotiable Daily Rate
A blue chip financial services client of Pontoon Solutions is looking for a Communications director to join them on an interim basis in order to provide long term maternity cover.
Job Purpose
The role holder will be responsible for creating and delivering client messages both internally and externally across various communication channels, including print, broadcast, website, social media, online, video and film. The role holder will support the Senior Leadership Team in raising their profile and delivering business messages to our customers, industry and other stakeholders, in particular the press.
Experience Required
* Strong experience in professional services, financial or corporate PR - either in an in-house or agency capacity or both.
* Strong project management skills.
* Strong academic and excellent written, verbal communication and presentational skills.
* Extensive experience of digital PR (LinkedIn pro/online journal relations/online press/video/Twitter, etc).
* Pro-active news generation.
* Develop and maintain good relationships in the media in the UK - national, regional, trade, online, broadcast.
* Create and deliver thought leadership pieces.
* Understand market forces and how to create a plan to message them and help the clients businesses achieve their objectives.
* Drive digital communications, encourage and advise on best practice, be innovative in the use of digital channels.High attention to detail.
* Ability to work autonomously, but naturally inclined to seek input and perspective from a wide range of stakeholder - both internally and externally.
* Gravitas and professional credibility.
* Ability to engage with senior level stakeholders
