Our Public Sector client in Edinburgh require a Senior Communications Officer (Web Project Management) to join their team on an initial 6 month contract. This role has been deemed inside of IR35. You will play a key role in developing and delivering with an external development company effective, engaging and meaningful public-facing websites. You will take a lead in the management and development and launch of the corporate website development project, working in partnership with our web development agency.
Required Experience:
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, knowledgeable on website technology, hard-working and a good communicator, with experience working with complex groups of staff and stakeholders. You will be knowledgeable on project management technologies and will also have experience working with outside agencies, in particular web development agencies) to deliver a project.
* Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
* Extensive experience of Web Content Management Systems - ideally Umbraco
* Previous experience of successfully developing and supporting websites for a wide variety of organisations, with particular attention to user experience, accessibility, and performance
* Understanding of and interest in trends and technological change surrounding the web
* Understanding and experience of integrating web content and social media platforms eg Twitter, Facebook or Google
* Must have a focus on customer service
* Skilled in translating technical requirements and specifications into easily understood business concepts and vice versa, to engage and influence as required
* Strong project management skills
