Proteus Europe is searching for aspeaking Dutch Technical Writer available to work in a project based in Brussels

Your New role:-

The function
As a Technical Writer you are responsible for the preparation, regular review and updating of technical documentation for the ICT Operations team.
It concerns documents such as
- Support Center Guide (document with description of supported applications and systems and the instructions for action to solve production incidents and for dispatching and follow-up 3rd parties with an incident for solution to be invested)
- Monitoring Guide (document with description of alerts from the monitoring on applications, infrastructure and systems and the instructions for action to resolve the alert)
- Operation Guide (document to support technical 2nd line activities when 1st line - Support Center and/or Monitoring Center - incident can not solve
- Deployment Guide (document with description for installation on acceptance and on production environment)
It is the job of the Technical Writer to expand/change the templates of this technical documentation where needed.
It is the job of the Technical Writer to record the documents with the team leads of the different teams within ICT Operations and have them validated for use.
It is the job of the Technical Writer to work out and set up a process for regular review and ensure its follow-up so that the documentation remains up-to-date.
In the context of a project involving the transfer of other teams within the company to the ICT Operations team, there is extra load to have timely documents in order.
In that connection:
- You work closely with the - application owner - who have the functional knowledge of the applications and systems.
- You are responsible for (co-) drafting and keeping up-to-date all relevant documentation.
Optional, not obligatory but positive (in terms of training period) growth opportunity to Application Support Engineer:
the 2-line support to the internal and external customers in case of operational incidents or problems, for example applications that crash. MA.w. you will also carry out the - Operations Guide- documentation in practice.
This option only starts after the job is completed (ie when completing project transfer support to ICT Operations).

Your Skills and Qualifications:-

Your profile
- You have a bachelor degree in IT or equivalent through experience
- You have a number of years experience as a Technical Writer for operational/technical documentation
- You are a communicative team player who can also work autonomously
- You are solution-oriented with good analytical skills
- You have an active knowledge of French and Dutch and a very good command of English
