Description

Edinburgh Niche Business Analyst - EA Change Groups' Life Pensions and Insurance Client urgently require a motivated business analyst to join a large International programme of change.

This role would be working within a number of regulatory programmes.

This role would also require frequent travel to Europe up to 8 working days per month.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyse, evaluate, prioritise and document high quality requirements that align to agreed objectives and can be clearly communicated to stakeholders
  • Obtain formal approval of scope and requirements by business stakeholders and maintain baselines on which the delivery of a solution can be based
  • Deliver and maintain the relevant project artefacts for the assigned workstream
  • Lead workshops and any other requirements elicitation activities needed during the analysis and design stage of the project
  • Validate the design, build and test traceability evidence provided by relevant roles to confirm requirements coverage
  • Ensure stakeholders fully understand the end-to-end solution that the project will deliver
  • Ensure dependencies, risks and issues are understood, tracked and escalated when appropriate
  • Effectively communicate with the Lead Business Analyst and other key stakeholders.
  • Produce timely and accurate progress reports

Essential Skills for the successful candidate

An experienced, 'strong' BA is required. Ideally, they will be able to evidence the following behaviours and softer skills:

  • bility to establish strong working relationships with stakeholders, third parties and senior management. Previous experience of geographically and culturally diverse stakeholders would be an advantage.
  • proactivity, both in terms of managing their own workload and in raising concerns about potential issues within either their own workstream or observed across the wider project
  • flexibility in the range and content of their work (working on other workstreams when required or standing in at presentations/steering groups for example)
  • confidence to constructively and effectively challenge colleagues at all levels.

The candidate must be able to travel between their home location and the International jurisdiction/s on a regular basis throughout the term of the engagement."

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of working on International projects is desirable
  • Experience of working with Life, Pensions and Investments projects would be beneficial
  • Experience of life and pensions policy administration Back Office systems would be beneficial
