Job Title: Webmaster

Job Type: Contract

Job Location: Tallinn, Estonia

Contract Rate: Euro 200 per day.

Contract Length: 12 months extension likely

Our Client, one of the world's foremost IT Consultancies, is looking to recruit a Contract Webmaster to join their client in Tallinn, Estonia.

Purpose

The role of the Webmaster is to provide assistance in the field of online information and communication management. The Webmaster will enhance the online visibility of its external and internal stakeholders by creating and sharing valuable content that meets current online standards. The Webmaster should support the communication team to manage the increased volume of public information and communication related tasks related to online platforms that will derive from the Agency's enlarged mandate. Ensuring access to the latest updated information, the growing number of job vacancies, procurement opportunities and corporate publications will be duties for the Webmaster. The Webmaster will transform our clients public information channels (website and social media accounts) into a functional hub of online information covering, but not limited to, the results and actions of the Agency.

Tasks:

1. Execution of annual action plans, based on the Communication Strategies, and related policies;

2. Assist in the maintenance and development of the website, social media accounts and intranet. This includes:

2.1. gathering, writing, proofing and publishing updated content and editing images for the website and corporate social media accounts

2.2. performing regular checks of the website to detect broken links and urgently fix the problems

2.3. reviewing regularly website and social media statistics, monitoring, analysing and reporting the website's performance (usage and traffic levels)

2.4. checking that the website achieves a high position in search engines and using search engine optimisation techniques to improve the rankings

2.4. researching emerging technologies and services that may enhance the website experience and further development of the online presence

2.5. working closely with the website hosting company and service provider to further improve functionality and overall performance of the website to meet the needs of stakeholders

2.6. acting as liaison between communication team and the corporate IT in matters related to the day-to-day needs related to external and internal online communication issues

2.7. acting as reference person for the communication team in matters related to managing public web-interfaces related to the IT systems.


3. Assisting to organise the governing meetings and/or corporate visibility events. This includes:

3.1. managing in-house or coordinating outsourced online registration of participants

3.2. managing in-house or coordinating outsourced satisfaction surveys of the participants and the analysis of the data

3.3. coordinating the outsourced setup of webpages for individual events and/or actions

3.4. providing visual content for presentations

4. Supporting the communication team in systematising the repositories of visuals, photos, videos and contact lists

5. Monitor public online information sources for related content and reporting on this

6. Liaising with external bodies in the communication domain regarding online information on and for other portals and websites

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a webmaster
  • Proven experience of managing corporate social media accounts
  • Knowledge of web analytics
  • Familiarity with web standards
  • Working knowledge of website management tools, mainly SharePoint
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to generate creative ideas
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite tools
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS

Education:

(bachelor degree or equivalent) after the secondary school

Professional experience:

  • Relevant professional experience
  • Experience in web site management and support
  • Expertise in tools used for web sites management or support

Professional competencies:

  • Proven professional experience of working with websites and managing online information
  • Very good knowledge of English, both oral and written
  • Experience with Content Management Systems and Adobe Creative Suite
