Content Designer - Blackpool - 6 Month Contract - Up to £350 per day

A Government client are currently looking for a skilled Content Designer to join their collaborative team located in Blackpool and write high-quality, user-focused content, showing an understanding of the web, technology and people. Contract length is 6 months, with extensions highly likely.

Working in an Agile environment, the Content Designer will help with developing content plans and formatting strategies, whilst maintaining excellent internal and external relationships.

As well as this, you duties will include, but won't be limited to:

  • Scoping, commissioning, writing, editing and publishing digital content
  • Managing relationships with SMEs to make sure content is accurate
  • Producing content assets that are accurate, timely, high quality and to style
  • Making sure that content is published quickly and efficiently
  • Monitoring the performance of content and tools
  • Identifying ways to improve the content and the product
  • Providing constructive criticism to colleagues to improve skills and work
In terms of experience, the suitable candidate will have extensive experience of writing for the web, with proven ability to create content that is accessible and usable. You will have experience of using metrics and user feedback to define and improve content, and of successfully managing relationships with stakeholders. The Content Designer will also have experience of working with content publishing systems, and of using Markdown or basic HTML.
