Description

Our client has a contract opportunity through the end of this year that will likely extend into 2019.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field from four-year college or university.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Minimum three years of experience writing internal and external communications.

Experience writing for executive-level management a plus.

Solid experience with social media and Web content management systems.

Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Ability to work under pressure and under fluctuating deadlines.

Ability to remain flexible and change tactics to match changing strategies and situations.

Ability to easily and professionally interact with a variety of personnel at all levels within the organization, including executive management and C-level (CEO, CFO, etc.) leadership.

General Summary:

In this role, the individual will provide communication support to identified internal customers designed to achieve business results. Communication activities include providing strategic communications counsel, planning and writing services; leveraging technology through expanded use of SharePoint, social media, the Intranet and the Web; and developing and managing metrics for projects and campaigns.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Counsel/Planning

Provides communication counsel and guidance to identified internal customers

Develops communication strategies and plans in support of established outcomes

Messaging

Develops content required for various internal and external communication projects. Projects will vary throughout the year.

o Examples of internal projects: Ensuring the Future Essential messaging; major employee announcements, site expansions or closures, corporate services program messaging, etc.

o Examples of external projects: Web site content, news releases, corporate presentations, company fact sheets, corporate brochure text, etc.

Provides editing capabilities to various communication materials.

Supports communication team in developing executive communications and managing the EC communications calendar.

Drafts corporate news releases; edits business news releases

Measurement

Develops and manages communication metrics to measure effectiveness of projects and campaigns.

Assists in the analysis of communication messages and their effectiveness against identified audiences.

Project Management

Responsible for project management including job initiation, working with internal and external resources, coordinating and maintaining budgets, project timing, etc.

General

Assists in achieving department and division goals and strategies.

Works to ensure all communications are properly reviewed before release.

Manages various projects as assigned.
