Design Engineer - Solidworks
Location: Blackburn
Contract Duration: 1 month (Potential to be extended)
Rate: £25ph

The RZ Group are working closely with an industry leading engineering company based in the Blackburn area who are looking to recruit a Design Engineer on an initial 1 month contract. The purpose of this role will be to create 3D designs ready for manufacture using Solidworks from hand drawings.
Other duties will include:
- Designing and developing individual ideas, including those of others, into prototypes and products for Manufacture.
- Providing all information, guidance, intentions and expectations to all areas of the business for the introduction of new products (FMEA's, technical and quality information, training and production process)
- Providing calculations and supporting validation evidence which includes interpreting data, test results and report writing.
Experience and Skills Required
- Ideally educated to degree level (Beneficial)
- 5+ years experience in a Design Engineer role
- Experience using Solidworks or similar design package
- Ability to interpret hand drawn designs into CAD models ready for manufacture
