Proof Reader - HSBC
2 months initial contract
Role Purpose
The job holder will be expected to proof read financial reports to ensure that they are free from errors (language, grammar, spelling and formatting). The job holder will work as part of an editing team, led by an editor of annual reports.
The purpose of doing this is to minimise the number of errors in HSBC's financial reports.
Principal Accountabilities:
Key activities and decision making areas
- Check language of reports and provide feedback on errors and mistakes using an established process.
- Check formatting and layout of document and highlight issues using the established process.
Major Challenges
The documents are large and need to be proof read a number of times during the change cycle.
Role Context
Extended hours of working may be required as volumes vary. It is expected that there will be 2 people performing the same role and a shift pattern may apply to cover the extended hours being worked by the wider team.
Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications
- Experience of proofreading financial reports or similar complex documents.
