Content Designer - (User Centred/Content Strategy/Digital)

  • Substantial experience of designing both transactional and flat web content
  • Designing usable and accessible content which is accurate, timely, high quality and conforms to style
  • Designing content that both informs and inspires
  • Writing snappy and engaging social media and mobile marketing communications to tight deadlines
  • Working in a multidisciplinary team in an agile development environment, and therefore at ease with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads and goals
  • Producing digital content that is accurate, timely, relevant, easy to understand, search engine optimised and written to style
  • User-centred design practices for public facing and internal services and applications
  • Understanding user needs by analysing user research findings and analytics data. Confident in writing actionable content to meet those needs
  • Problem-solving skills to help the team solve design problems and challenge assumptions
  • Understanding how a digital should address the needs of all possible users so that no one is excluded, with particular reference to accessibility and assisted digital
  • Convincing people that user needs should guide how information is presented
  • Explaining decisions to stakeholders who don't understand web usability or user-centred design
  • Developing effective content strategies based on the end-to-end customer journey
  • Creating content that increases conversions
  • Designing personalised content
  • Optimising content for search engines (SEO)
  • Understanding of marketing automation
  • Challenging assumptions which could result in a poor user experience
