Public Sector client based in London - Communications Executive - this role has been deemed inside scope of IR35

2 x Communications Executive - £290 Umbrella

  • The role-holder is responsible for creating and implementing plans, creative concepts and content for employee communications channels and campaigns, delivering effective, two-way communication and engagement activities in a way that improves the flow of organisational information based on employee feedback.
  • Co-ordinate employee communications delivery, through the full range of communications channels and tools, ensuring the effective, timely and two-way flow of information to ensure that understanding is shared and changes to behaviour are achieved.
  • Create plans and run employee communications events, workshops and employee forums, ensuring they deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Create print publications and visual media solutions, taking accountability for planning, logistics and implementation around the rapid, cost-effective dissemination of employee communications collateral to all parts of the organisation.
  • Working with other key stakeholders, develop engaging and compelling news, features and content for the Intranet and other electronic media, ensuring dynamic access to key information, resources and applications that aid smart decision-making and enable effective cross-business co-operation.
  • Develop fresh, innovative and involving approaches to employee communications, creating, implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of all campaigns and activities.

Key skills and experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of effective employee communications techniques and delivery across the full range of face-to-face, digital (including social media), print and broadcast communication channels.
  • Able to identify communications opportunities, providing practical and proactive communications guidance and support to address business and operational issues in a customer-facing environment.
  • Deep understanding of writing and editorial styles across a wide-range of different channels, media and environments.
  • Robust project management skills, able to create and deliver plans and co-ordinate the contribution of multiple stakeholders in different business areas to deliver targeted business outcomes.
  • Exhibits skills in drafting communications independently based on the materials that are available. Demonstrates comfort with different writing styles and visual forms of communication to present complex information and concepts in a way that is relevant and accessible.
  • Proven track record of creating, implementing, tracking and evaluating creative and effective employee communications and engagement plans.
  • Experience of running medium-scale communications projects and campaigns in customer-facing environments and across the full range of media (in particular face-to-face and social media), with measurable positive impact and return on investment.
  • A highly-motivated, creative self-starter able to work on their own initiative with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines/budgets and build strong working relationships.
  • Skilled writer, with proven ability and adept at producing clear, creative and high quality content and messaging.
