Marketing Communications Consultant - Public Sector - Brexit - £300 - £350 per day - Leatherhead/Reading - 12 months

My client has set up with the government a marketing communications division which will manage specific marketing programmes for the Central Government Business Unit covering a wide variety of activities; such as campaign management, deal based marketing client based marketing content development, digital and social media, events and internal engagement.
Initially there will be a focus on Brexit activities, ensuring that my client is well positioned to take advantage of the outcome with our Government clients.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
. Managing marketing campaign activities within the CG BU, covering content development and multiple tactics including events, digital, social media, sales support activities, client-based marketing, deal based marketing and internal engagement
. There will be a specific emphasis on working on our Brexit ready strategy and marketing initiatives
. Working with the rest of the Global Marketing and UK MarComms teams to inform, utilise and collaborate on best practice and shared activities
. Working with the internal design team to develop and maintain all marketing assets and collateral such as brochures, factsheets, and case studies/references, animations, videos etc.
. Working on ad-hoc marketing and communications activities as required to support the overall UK marketing communications team
. Providing support for VOC activities, VIPs meeting preparation and deal/client based marketing as required by the BUs

CORE COMPETENCIES
. Over 2 years marketing experience, ideally covering a variety of B2B industries
. High level understanding of the UK Central Government political and socio-economic environment
. Track record of managing and delivering marketing campaigns
. Excellent communicator with good verbal and written skills
. Creative and strategic thinker with an innovative mind and a "can do" attitude able to roll up sleeves and deliver results
. Ability to manage multiple initiatives across a complex business and within this context maintain relationships across all levels of the organisation and manage multiple stakeholders
. Self-starter and proactive, with a track record of delivering projects on time - able to work to tight deadlines and manage a varied work portfolio
. Work in an inclusive manner, team orientated and willing to support others to achieve their goals in line with values.
. Some travel within the UK will be required to attend meetings and events (England/Scotland/Wales)
