Description
Our client are a large local government organisation and are looking for an experienced Communications Manager to join their team. This is initially a 3 month contract however this may be extended for the right candidate. Our client is looking for someone who can come on board and be lead point of contact for communications requirements as and when required.
The successful applicant will lead in the delivery of the integrated corporate Communications Strategy and manage communications within a defined portfolio area ensuring budgets and other resources are deployed efficiently and support leaders/managers with strategic advice on communications campaign planning, reputation management and media relations. You will lead on promoting and defending the clients reputation through broadcast media by managing enquiries, identifying proactive media opportunities, writing news releases and issuing of statements.
To be considered for this role you will be an experienced Communications who is CIM/CIPR certified and ideally have worked within a public sector previously
