Senior Web Designer
Our client are seeking a Senior Web Designer to ideally have the below expertise:
Primary responsibility will be to assist in the Migration of Content from old website to new. Help with the Content Migration and rebuild certain elements when needed. Helping to organize/coordinate the migration & plan and alleviate some of the work load from the Manager/Team Leader. Wont be coding day in day out
Someone who has worked with CMS - Content Management Systems. They use Amplience, but experience with this is not a mandatory requirement. Other CMS Systems include Adobe AEM, Drupal, WordPress, SharePoint, Umbraco etc.
The client work on MACS so someone who has worked on them before would be beneficial. Not able to use something else due to the Sketch Application only working on MACS
Examples of work/Portfolio will need to be provided please
They ideally want someone who is comfortable presenting and reporting
The Team are currently learning a new system, so their first few days will be spent on system training to get up to speed with the rest of the team, but they wont be far behind everyone else.
- 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role either in house or agency side
- Creative web design skills
- Excellent organisation and planning skills
- Online portfolio
- Keen eye for detail
- HTML, XHTML, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility
- Working knowledge of responsive web design principles
- Good understanding of web accessibility & usability standards
- Sound knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite & Sketch App
- Able to work within brand and design guidelines
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies, trends and ideas.
- Team player with initiative, drive, tenacity and able to work to tight deadlines
Desirable skills:
- Candidates ideally will have knowledge and experience in one or more of the following sectors:
- E-commerce
- Retail
- Service
- Experience building responsive websites
- Knowledge of JavaScript & JQuery would be advantageous
- Experience using Content Management Systems
- Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Amplience (or any headless CMS)
