Description

UX Writer

Our retail client are looking for a UX Writer to join them on a contract basis.

This role will be joining a team tasked with improving the clients customer services online by providing customers with tools and experiences to manage orders and get answers quickly, saving them time and the business money.

What you would be doing:

  • Writing user-interface copy and planning and designing content strategies that engage
  • customers through all user touchpoints and across all customer channels
  • Synthesizing customer and business data from various data sources and adopting aquantitative customer research
  • hypothesis-driven test and learn approach, carefully appropriating the best research methods and metrics to validate your assumptions using a healthy balance of qualitative and
  • Helping promote design and copy quality, consistency and great ways of working betweenwider Product team
  • teams through a regular feedback process with your line management, colleagues and the
  • Promoting a user-centered design approach to copy creation and encouraging the teams you
  • work with to do so via team-share sessions, presentations and activities.
  • Growing and developing collaborative relationships with your peers - especially your UXstakeholders to influence all aspects of the customer experience
  • Writer counterparts, the UX and UI designers, UX Research and wider business
  • Acting as the point of contact and a source of expertise for user experience writing and
  • suggesting ways to improve existing tools and processes.
  • Getting involved with workshop activities to articulate strategic goals, align stakeholders and
  • explore customer, business and project requirements
  • Keeping well informed of trends and industry innovation and good practice plus dedicating
  • effort to sharing this knowledge to the wider UX/UI/UXR teams
  • Advocating and implementing inclusive design solutions following W3C accessibility
  • standards - as a digital retailer, we are committed to level AA conformance

Experience Required

  • Related degree or equivalent and proven mid to senior-level copywriter experience
  • Display an excellent understanding of UX process using human-centred methods and a test and learn approach
  • Demonstrable experience in designing content strategies
  • Experience supporting the full product development process, from vision to launch via an iterative process
  • Previous experience collaborating closely with UX and UI designers and Researchers
  • Good understanding of writing for search engine optimisation
  • Good task management, collaboration and organisational skills; skilled in managing multiple projects and tasks from multiple stakeholders
  • Great communication skills with ability to succinctly articulate complex topics to teams and audiences
  • Previous experience in planning and facilitating workshops
  • Strong advocate and good working knowledge of writing to Accessibility standards
