Health and Safety Consultant - NEBOSH/PAYE - Guildford

PAYE/Umbrella - £200 - £250 (all inclusive day rate) which may be subject to change depending on applicable legislation or solution through which services are performed.

Health, Safety and Wellbeing Consultant required for a large organisation based in Guildford. You will be responsible for the delivery of the Health and Safety strategy across the whole of the organisation. You'll be the subject matter expert, providing support to employees, with advice and guidance on all aspects of health, safety and wellbeing.

NEBOSH certificate/diploma is essential for the role.

Key Skills of the Role:

  • Monitoring and maintaining compliance with H&S, fire and food safety legislation
  • Assisting with the review of corporate safety, health and wellbeing procedures and H&S templates
  • Monitoring accident/incidents, undertaking investigation and where appropriate and advising on measures to prevent reoccurrence
  • Supporting the companies Health, Safety & Wellbeing Committee, and other consultative forums
  • Monitoring H&S compliance through inspections and audits across the organisation
  • Assisting in the design, management and delivery of health, safety, and wellbeing related training
  • Monitoring first aid and wellbeing arrangements and provision across the corporate offices and staff teams
  • Strong experience of delivering H&S induction programmes
  • Ensure adherence to the Group's Health, Safety and Wellbeing Policy particularly in relation to the roles and responsibilities outlined
  • Previous experience of working in a Health and Safety role, partnering with business stakeholder and employees to provide Health and Safety expertise
  • Up to date knowledge of H&S legislation and fire safety regulations
  • Understanding of compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc., Act 1974
  • Strong auditing, inspection, and active monitoring skills
  • Ability to take a proportionate and balanced approach to risk management
