Human Factors Engineer - Outside IR35 - Remote Working Offered
As a Human Factors Engineer, you will advocate shaping a user interface through an iterative user-centered design process. Working with a team of human factors and user experience (UX) experts, you will define the problem space and end user needs while advocating and communicating those needs to the engineering and development communities. You will be able to employ human factors principles, research and usability testing methods for military systems, you will use these inputs to guide and create user interfaces with our Designers, Engineers and End Users to ensure soldiers have effective tools that meet the user needs.
Typical activities will include:
- Preparation of Human Factors/UX design documents, reports and other documentation that meet the requirements of the project
- Review of equipment and system specifications for HFE requirements content
- Review of software and provide feedback/direction to the software or design team
- Applying Human Factors standards and contractual requirements to the system design process
- Creating human engineering designs to meet problem space definition
- Presenting Human Factors/UX design and evaluations at both internal and external technical presentations
- Liaison with internal design teams and the external customer
- Reviewing test procedures for HFE requirements
- Conducting test procedures for HFE requirements and produce a report detailing the results
- Participating in the development of internal company HFE processes and procedures
